Want a career in Owners Corporation? Here’s the perfect chance.
If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to break into the Owners Corporation industry and build a genuine long-term career, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
We’re working with a highly reputable and growing Owners Corporation business based in Melbourne’s South-East that is looking for an Assistant Owners Corporation Manager to join its team.
Previous strata experience isn’t essential.
If you have a strong background in administration or customer service, enjoy working with people and are keen to learn, you’ll be provided with the training, support and exposure needed to develop your career within Owners Corporation management.
About the Company
You’ll be joining a growing business with an established name in the Melbourne strata market.
The office is home to a diverse team of approximately 14 people, with a collaborative, down-to-earth environment where people are encouraged to help each other and get involved.
This is a team that values people who are proactive, solution-focused and happy to put their hand up when something needs to be done.
About the Role
Working closely with an experienced Owners Corporation Manager, you’ll assist with the day-to-day management of a high-density residential portfolio.
This is a hands-on position designed to give you exposure across the full Owners Corporation management process and build your knowledge over time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the OCM with the day-to-day management of their portfolio
- Responding to enquiries from owners, committees, contractors and other stakeholders
- Preparing correspondence, notices and general documentation
- Assisting with meeting preparation, including agendas and supporting documentation
- Assisting with AGM and committee meeting administration
- Raising and following up work orders and maintenance requests
- Liaising with contractors and obtaining quotes
- Maintaining accurate property and client records
- Assisting with insurance, compliance and maintenance matters
- Providing general administrative support to the portfolio manager
You’ll also gain exposure to high-density Owners Corporations, giving you a strong foundation if your goal is to progress into managing your own portfolio in the future.
About You
You may already have some exposure to property or strata, or you could be completely new to the industry.
More importantly, you’ll bring:
- Solid administration and/or customer service experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence dealing with different personalities and stakeholders
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- A proactive and solution-focused attitude
- A willingness to learn and take feedback
- A team-first mentality and willingness to help where needed
- An interest in building a long-term career within Owners Corporation management
This environment will suit someone who is down-to-earth, adaptable and willing to get involved rather than someone looking for a narrowly defined role.
What’s On Offer
- $60,000 – $70,000 + super, depending on experience
- Hybrid working arrangements
- Full training and ongoing support
- Exposure to a high-density portfolio
- Genuine career progression and development
- Opportunity to build towards becoming an Owners Corporation Manager
- Growing business and team
- Diverse and collaborative office environment
If you’ve been considering a career in Owners Corporation but haven’t known how to get your foot in the door, this is a fantastic place to start.
