Visy Food Can is seeking an experienced Machine Operator with Mechanical knowledge to join our manufacturing team in Yatala. This is an ongoing casual opportunity offering consistent hours, competitive pay, and the potential to transition into a permanent full-time position.
About the Role
- Rotating day shift roster: 6:00am to 6:00pm
- Monday to Friday roster only
- Work 3 days one week and 4 days the next
- Attractive pay rate of $47.46 per hour
- Opportunity to work within a leading Australian manufacturing business
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor high-speed production machinery.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic mechanical adjustments.
- Conduct quality inspections and identify product defects.
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Minimise production downtime through proactive problem-solving.
- Complete production, quality, and maintenance documentation accurately.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous machine operating experience within a high-speed FMCG, packaging, food, beverage, or manufacturing workplace.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capability.
- A high attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
- A strong focus on workplace health and safety.
- Reliability, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Availability to work 12-hour rotating day shifts.
Desirable:
- Current Forklift Licence.
