The Role
You will be teaching Science at secondary level with a particular focus on Physics, including middle and senior school grades through the Australian curriculum. Currently the school is only up to Grade 11,
but growing with every year to be a full K-12 school in the near future.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Victorian (Australian) curriculum
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and enjoymentwith a strong focus on student well-being
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to ensure student success
- Participate in professional development opportunities
- Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community, demonstrating cultural sensitivity
Requirements
- Bachelors / Post-graduate studies in education / relevant teaching subject
- Valid teaching licenceand current registration (e.g. VIT, QTS) preferred
- 2 years of post-qualification teaching experience at relevant age range
- Experience with the Australian Curriculum is advantageous but not essential
- Dynamic and creative approach to teachingand motivatingstudents
- Flexibility and resilience required to work in a team at fast growing schools
