Salary: $65,000 per annum + superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week | Generally 7:30 am – 3:30 pm
Roster: Five days per week, including weekends, with two consecutive days off

About the Role
Looking for a chef position with great hours, a good team and a life outside the kitchen?
Nurcha is a popular, well-established plant-based café in Birtinya, and we're looking for an experienced Chef or Cook to join our team.
We pride ourselves on serving delicious, fresh food in a friendly and supportive kitchen environment. We're looking for someone who enjoys cooking, takes pride in their work and can confidently run a kitchen section.
You don't need to be vegan or have experience in plant-based cooking. We're simply looking for a great cook with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
What You'll Be Doing
- Running your own kitchen section, including the pass or grill.
- Working alongside an experienced and supportive kitchen team.
- Maintaining excellent food safety and kitchen standards.
- Helping keep service running smoothly and efficiently.
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Chef or Cook in a busy commercial kitchen.
- Confidence managing a kitchen section independently.
- Someone reliable, organised and comfortable working under pressure.
- A positive attitude and a genuine team-player mentality.
- Availability to work weekends.
Plant-based cooking experience is a bonus, but definitely not essential.
