The Breakwater is one of Perth’s premier waterfront destinations, bringing together exceptional food, drinks and service in a setting that transitions effortlessly from relaxed daytime dining to vibrant evenings.

We’re looking for an experienced Duty Manager to join our team and help lead the venue across all aspects of daily operations. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who knows hospitality, leads from the front and takes pride in creating an exceptional experience for both guests and the team.

What You’ll Be Doing

Building a strong team culture through clear communication, coaching and leading by example

Delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring service standards are consistently met

Ensuring all operational, health & safety and venue standards are followed

Handling guest feedback and operational challenges confidently and professionally

Leading the team during service and ensuring the venue operates to a consistently high standard

Managing service flow, floor operations and team performance throughout each shift

Supporting the Venue Manager with day‑to‑day operations and broader venue initiatives

Taking ownership of opening and closing procedures and ensuring the venue is always presented at its best

Training, developing and motivating team members to reach their full potential

Working closely with the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams to ensure a seamless service

A hands‑on approach and willingness to lead from the floor

A positive attitude and strong alignment with our culture — skills can be taught, but attitude matters

Previous experience in management or senior hospitality leadership role

Strong attention to detail and a high level of operational awareness

The ability to remain calm, composed and solutions‑focused in a fast‑paced setting

Excellent communication and organisational skills
