Senior Helpers Far North Queensland is seeking a Human Resources Administrator to support our team delivering aged care and disability services across the region
This is a full-time position working from our Cairns office. Remote working is not available
About the role
Working closely with management, you will coordinate day-to-day HR administration and help keep staff records, recruitment and employment processes organised and up to date
Your responsibilities will include
- Supporting recruitment, including job advertisements, interview coordination and reference checks
- Preparing employment documentation and coordinating staff onboarding and offboarding
- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records
- Tracking qualifications, screening checks, mandatory training and renewal dates
- Coordinating probation and annual performance review documentation
- Assisting with timesheet and leave administration, with approvals managed by the relevant manager
- Responding to routine staff enquiries and escalating matters where required
- Supporting HR reporting and improvements to administrative processes
About you
- Experience in HR administration or a solid administration background
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and follow-through
- Clear, professional communication skills
- Sound judgement when handling sensitive and confidential information
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning HR and rostering systems
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy office
A qualification in Human Resources or Business Administration, and experience in aged care or disability services, will be highly regarded
