Your first few years in construction should give you more than a line on your CV. They should give you a strong grounding in how projects are built, people you can learn from and the chance to take on more as your confidence grows.
This Graduate / Junior Contract Administrator chance offers exactly that, starting on a $25 million performing arts centre currently under construction in Kew. You'll join an experienced project team, giving you the chance to connect what you've learnt at university with what happens on a live commercial building site.
You'll be joining an established builder of around 60 people, with the systems and structure to support your development. There are experienced people around you to answer questions, explain the reasoning behind decisions and help you build good habits early in your career.
Your first project and the head office are just 15 minutes apart in Melbourne's inner east. Beyond Kew, the business delivers projects up to $50 million across education, commercial, sport and recreation, community, aged care, health and residential.
You'll have the opportunity to build your experience across different project types as your career develops.
You may have recently completed your construction management degree and be looking for your first opportunity with a commercial builder. Or perhaps you've already spent around a year working as a junior Contract Administrator, Project Coordinator or in a site-based role with a head contractor and want to build on that foundation.
You'll need to have completed your VCE and hold a degree in construction management. Candidates with around one year of relevant head contractor experience will be particularly well regarded, although graduates without construction experience are encouraged to apply. We're looking for someone who is curious, organised and willing to ask questions, with a clear interest in building a career in commercial construction.
