This is a hands-on bookkeeping and office administration role, working closely with management, our office team, and external accountants.

You will need strong MYOB skills and practical experience processing foreign currency invoices and payments, including recording and reconciling foreign exchange gains and losses on imports and exports.

You will also deal directly with clients and suppliers in Australia and overseas, including answering telephone calls and resolving account enquiries.

Fluent spoken and written English, a solid command of the language, and clear, professional telephone communication are essential.

Accuracy, attention to detail and consistent follow-through are central to this role.

Key responsibilities

- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment preparation, and account follow-ups.
- Carefully check invoices, payments, and credits to prevent errors and duplicate payments.
- Complete bank, credit card, customer, and supplier account reconciliations.
- Process foreign currency invoices, receipts, and payments in MYOB, including associated foreign exchange gains and losses.
- Process payroll and manage Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting and superannuation payments.
- Prepare monthly reports and assist with BAS preparation, working with our external accountants.
- Answer telephone calls and respond professionally to client and supplier account enquiries in Australia.
- Maintain accurate financial records and up-to-date customer and supplier information.
- Assist with general office administration, insurance and vehicle records, and routine stocktake coordination.

About you

- Demonstrated experience in a hands-on bookkeeping role.




- Strong practical MYOB skills, including multi-currency transactions and reconciliations.
- Experience with payroll, STP, superannuation and BAS preparation.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to checking your work.
- Fluent spoken and written English, with a strong command of the language and clear, easily understood telephone communication when dealing directly with clients and suppliers.
- The ability to organise priorities, work independently and contribute to a small team.
- A current NSW driver's licence and reliable vehicle, as our premises are some distance from public transport and the role starts at 7:00 am.
- Full Australian working rights, permanent residency.
