Private Household & Operations Manager – Live-In

We are seeking an exceptionally organised and capable person to take ownership of the day-to-day operation of our busy family home.

We are a family of six running a busy family business, and we are looking for someone who can bring structure, routines and organisation to our household and keep it running that way.

This is not a nanny position and not a traditional cleaning role . We have a regular cleaner for heavier cleaning. We need someone who can effectively become the operations manager of our home — identifying what needs attention, establishing practical systems, coordinating others and following things through without needing to be given a daily task list.

What you’ll take ownership of

- Establishing and maintaining practical household routines

- Bringing order to wardrobes, cupboards, pantry, storage and other areas of the home

- Laundry, linen, clothing and keeping school/sports gear organised

- Meal planning, grocery shopping and preparing healthy family meals

- Keeping the fridge, freezer, pantry and household supplies organised and stocked

- Coordinating our cleaner, setting priorities and ensuring household cleaning standards are maintained

- Keeping day-to-day clutter and household organisation under control

- Creating systems that make it easier for the whole family to stay organised

- Coordinating trades, servicing, repairs and property maintenance

- Keeping track of upcoming household and property requirements and acting on them

- Managing household appointments, errands and deliveries

- Helping coordinate family schedules and routines

- Assistance with morning and afternoon family logistics when required

We want someone who notices what needs doing and takes responsibility for it . If a cupboard isn't working,



reorganise it. If the house needs more attention in a particular area, coordinate it with the cleaner. If something needs servicing, arrange it. If we're relying too heavily on takeaway, get the week's meals planned and the fridge stocked.

The objective is not simply to complete household tasks — it's to create and maintain a well-run home .

Who we’re looking for

We are particularly interested in someone with strong organisational and management capability .

You do not need to come from a nanny or domestic-service background. In fact, this role could particularly suit an experienced:

- Office or Practice Manager

- Executive Assistant

- Operations Manager/Coordinator

- Qualified Organiser

- Project Coordinator

- Former small-business owner

- Semi-retired professional or manager looking for a different kind of role

We value maturity, initiative, judgement, discretion and follow-through . You should be comfortable taking responsibility, coordinating other people and making sensible day-to-day decisions independently.

You will need a driver's licence, NSW WWCC (or willingness to obtain one) and willingness to undertake a National Police Check.

The position includes a private, self-contained cabin with power included , located on our peaceful 8-acre property only minutes from Kingscliff and the beach.

The role is Monday–Friday and generally structured around the school day. A vehicle is available for work-related duties and we retain a regular cleaner for heavier cleaning.
