Working alongside the Printer, you will assist with the efficient operations of the press, ensuring jobs are produced safely, accurately and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the set-up and operation of Heidelberg offset printing presses.
- Monitor registration and ink levels throughout production.
- Read and follow job specifications and production schedules.
- Assist with troubleshooting and adjusting press settings to resolve print issues.
- Complete regular cleaning and basic equipment maintenance.
- Manage raw material / inks and chemicals to the press.
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping.
About you
- Previous experience as an Assistant Printer in a commercial printing environment.
- Experience operating a Heidelberg Speedmaster XL preferably.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and follow detailed job specifications.
- Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
