38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Overtime may be available.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles and discuss reported problems with customers or the service team
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures
- Service and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, cooling and other vehicle systems
- Replace or repair worn and faulty components
- Carry out scheduled maintenance and safety checks
- Test vehicles after repairs to confirm they are operating correctly
- Keep accurate records of inspections, diagnosis, repairs and parts used
- Maintain a clean, safe workshop and follow workplace health and safety procedures
About you
- A current NSW Motor Vehicle Tradesperson Certificate in the Motor Mechanic class, or an equivalent qualification recognised for this work
- Relevant light vehicle mechanical experience
- Your own mechanic's hand tools suitable for the role
- Ability to diagnose faults and work safely and reliably
