About the Opportunity

Australian Industry Group's Apprentice and Trainee Centre (ATC) is seeking a Business Optimisation Officer to join the Business Optimisation Team on a 12-month maximum-term contract, with the potential for extension.

Whilst the reality of each day will be different, you can expect to be accountable for:

In this role, you will support the administration, onboarding, workforce activities, safety and compliance requirements of the ATC workforce. Working collaboratively across multiple teams and external stakeholders, you will help support candidate attraction, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Supporting apprentice and trainee onboarding activities, working closely with recruitment, payroll, Employment & Training Consultants and Australian Connect Apprenticeship Providers (ACAPs).
- Managing enquiries received through the ATC administration inbox, website and telephone channels.
- Coordinating apprentice and trainee lifecycle administration, including employment variations, rotations and onboarding activities.
- Maintaining databases, systems and records to ensure information remains accurate, current and compliant.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by gathering feedback and helping enhance systems, processes and communications.
- Assisting with safety and compliance administration, including training allocation, licence tracking and documentation management.
- Supporting recruitment and talent attraction activities, including phone screening, shortlisting, interview coordination and careers events.
- Building relationships with schools, industry stakeholders,



Apprentice Employment Networks (AENs) and other industry bodies to support talent attraction initiatives.

To best succeed in this role you will have:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent planning, organisational and workload prioritisation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- A proactive approach and the ability to make sound professional decisions.
- The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with others.A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams will be well regarded.
- The ability to role model Australian Industry Group's professional image and values of curiosity, collaboration and care.
