What you'll be doing
- Skippering our vessel out of Lake Macquarie and along the coastline
- Supervising and working with the Deckhand on board
- Communicating and completing reporting on an iPad and phone apps
- Keeping the boat and equipment clean, safe and ready to go for the next day
- Helping out wherever needed to keep the operation running smoothly
About you
- Is an experienced and confident Skipper
- Loves being out on the water
- Takes safety seriously and considers other waterway users
- Is reliable, punctual and happy to do early starts
- Works well in a small team
- Is physically fit and happy getting your hands dirty
- Can confidently use an iPad and basic technology
- Is calm, practical and able to think on your feet
- Takes pride in looking after the boat and equipment
- Is easy to deal with
What you'll need
- Coxswain ticket (minimum)
- Positive knowledge of boating safety and navigation
- Availability for at least Friday, Saturday and Saturday (possibility for more days if requested)
- Availability between the hours of sunrise and sunset (the length of each shift depends on weather and sea conditions)
