About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join the team at Eccomi in Norwood, SA. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations and development of our business. As Assistant Manager, you will support the management team in delivering exceptional service, maintaining operational excellence, and creating a welcoming setting for our guests. This role offers the opportunity to develop your leadership capabilities while contributing directly to the hospitality experience we provide.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee daily operations including service quality, kitchen coordination, and front-of-house management
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance to ensure consistent service standards
- Monitor inventory levels, stock rotation, and supplier relationships to maintain cost efficiency
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations across all areas of the venue
- Respond to guest feedback and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
- Support financial management including cash handling, point-of-sale systems, and budget adherence
- Maintain standards of cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance throughout the establishment
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, fostering a positive team culture
- Collaborate with the management team on promotional activities and special events

What we're looking for





- Proven experience in a management or supervisory role within the hospitality or food and beverage industry
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and kitchen management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate an energetic and positive team culture
- Sound understanding of health, safety, and food hygiene standards and regulations
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic financial accumen
- Customer service excellence with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
- Understanding of wines, cocktails and bar operations
- A passion for Italian cuisine and hospitality is highly valued
