We are looking for an experienced and confident Maître D / Shift Supervisor to join our team and help lead the front-of-house operations.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working with customers, leading a team and ensuring smooth service during busy periods.

Key responsibilities:

- Welcome and greet guests and provide a friendly, professional first impression
- Manage guest seating, reservations and table allocation
- Coordinate front‑of‑house operations throughout each shift
- Supervise and support waitstaff and other front‑of‑house team members
- Allocate duties and ensure the team is prepared for service
- Monitor service standards and ensure customers receive excellent service
- Assist with resolving customer concerns or complaints professionally
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front‑of‑house staff
- Monitor the flow of service and assist the team during busy periods
- Open and/or close the venue as required
- Ensure workplace,



food safety and company procedures are followed
- Support staff training and provide guidance to team members
- Assist with cash handling, end‑of‑shift procedures and general venue duties
- Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming front‑of‑house environment

About you:

- Previous experience in a restaurant, café, bar or hospitality supervisory role
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Confident leading and supporting a team
- Able to remain calm and organised in a quick‑paced environment
- Professional, reliable and well‑presented
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- RSA or other relevant hospitality qualifications are desirable
