About The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Asbestos Labourer to support asbestos removal & restoration works across a range of commercial and industrial projects and conduct reinstatement works.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with asbestos removal and remediation works in line with regulations
- Setting up and maintaining containment areas and decontamination units
- Handling, removing and disposing of asbestos materials safely
- Undertaking water restoration and mould remediation works
- Following asbestos management plans, SWMS and site procedures
- Using tools and equipment safely and correctly
- Utilising remediation chemicals appropriately
- Conducting site clean-ups and clearance preparation
- Working closely with supervisors and team members to ensure safe outcomes
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised work environment
- Demonstrating a robust commitment to safety and pride in your work
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in asbestos removal or hazardous materials (preferred)
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Ability to follow instructions and work within strict compliance guidelines
- Physically fit and capable of manual labour
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Essential Criteria
- Asbestos Removal Certificate (Class A and/or B)
or IICRC AMRT + WR
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Manual driver’s licence
- Working with Children Check
- EWP under 11 metres (preferred)
- Police check
- Permanent work rights in Australia
