The successful applicant will be supporting the team in automotive repairs and builds. This position will be heavily involved with rust repair, drilling, sanding and grinding, body work and body preparation in the car restoration business. You will work closely with a small team in a workshop equipped with some of the latest tools, equipment and facilities to assist you in producing the highest quality of work.
Key responsibilities
- Assessing damaged vehicles and deciding on best approach to complete work
- Using specialised tools and equipment to carry out repairs
- Performing quality control including final work checks
- Following OHS requirements to complete work in an appropriate manner
- Completing records and reports in relation to work carried out
About you
- Experience working as a Panel Beater
- Minimum 2 years experience in an automotive repair role
- Spraypainting knowledge or experience would be advantageous
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Positive time management skills and be able to take direction
- Can work autonomously and part of a team
- Must hold an Open Drivers Licence
- Fabrication and or Automotive Certificate is highly regarded
