Are you organised, accurate and confident working across production and inventory processes? We are seeking a Stock Controller to join our Colac Supply Chain team and help keep daily operations running smoothly. Reporting to the Production Planner, you will provide timely production information, support stock accuracy and connect the operations, dispatch and planning teams.
About the role
In this hands-on administrative role, you will coordinate production run information, maintain accurate records and labels, and support inventory integrity through spot checks, stocktakes, reconciliation and system updates. Your clear communication will help ensure planning and production remain aligned across shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute run sheets and communicate upcoming production runs to operational employees.
- Record production volumes and actual production data accurately for reporting and traceability.
- Print and control production labels,
manage errors and report trends that support process improvement.
- Scan, save and file completed production documentation in shared systems.
- Complete regular stock spot checks and participate in stocktakes.
- Investigate and reconcile stock discrepancies, ensuring inventory movements are recorded correctly.
- Monitor stock placement and help ensure stock is stored in designated locations.
- Work closely with the Production Planner, Production Supervisors and Dispatch team to respond to operational changes.
- Learn and backfill the Production Planner role when required.
