Sora Rooftop Bar is seeking an experienced and motivated 2IC / Assistant Venue Manager to support the Venue Manager and help lead the day-to-day operations of a rooftop venue. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with strong hospitality experience who is confident managing staff, overseeing busy services and maintaining a high standard of customer experience.
Key responsibilities
- Supervising and leading floor and bar staff during service
- Assisting with opening and closing procedures
- Managing staff breaks, sections and service flow
- Ensuring high standards of customer service and venue presentation
- Handling customer enquiries and complaints professionally
- Monitoring RSA compliance and guest behaviour
- Supporting staff training and onboarding
- Assisting with stock control, wastage and stocktakes
- Coordinating with kitchen, security and management teams
- Supporting functions, events and large group bookings
About you
- Previous experience as a 2IC, Duty Manager, Supervisor or Assistant Venue Manager
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Experience working in a busy bar, restaurant or premium hospitality venue
- Confidence managing high-volume Friday and Saturday night services
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A hands-on and proactive approach
- Good knowledge of RSA and venue compliance requirements
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and late nights
- A current NSW RSA
