With iPlay Eastern Creek Quarter , featuring state-of-the-art arcades and attractions, we’re looking for an energetic and people-focused Assistant Venue Manager to join the team and help bring the venue to life.

The Role
As Assistant Venue Manager, you’ll work closely with the Venue Manager to keep the venue running at its best. You’ll be hands‑on, visible and actively involved in leading the team, delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving robust operational performance.
You’ll help create an atmosphere where:
- The games are buzzing
- The lanes are rocking
- The guests are smiling
- The team is performing at its best
You’ll play a key role across the full Guest Journey, from Arrival to Farewell, helping ensure every guest leaves with a reason to come back.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Venue Manager with the day‑to‑day operation of the venue
- Lead, motivate and support the team across busy trading periods
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create memorable guest experiences
- Assist with team training, development and performance
- Help manage rosters, breaks and daily team deployment
- Support stock control, ordering, cash handling and venue administration
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and shift leadership
- Monitor venue presentation, cleanliness, safety and compliance
- Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally
- Help drive sales, performance and operational standards
- Step up and take charge of the venue when the Venue Manager is unavailable
- Bring energy, accountability and teamwork to every shift
About You
You’re a confident, hands‑on leader who loves working with people and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
You bring:
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in hospitality, entertainment, retail or a similar customer‑focused environment
- A hands‑on leadership style and the confidence to lead from the floor
- Strong communication and people skills
- The ability to stay calm and make decisions under pressure
- A positive, energetic attitude and a willingness to get stuck in
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- The ability to coach, motivate and develop team members
- Flexibility to work across days, nights, weekends and public holidays
- RSA, RMLV or Food Safety Supervisor certification is advantageous
