About The Role

Within this context the Specialist VET Teacher will deliver and manage appropriate VET programs for students, through the provision of instructional and classroom-based activities, and the assessment of individual student progress.

Applicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.

We are looking for

Essential

- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)
- Current certificate of registration; or provisional registration; or limited authority to teach granted by the Teachers Registration Board (Tasmania) in accordance with the provisions of the Teachers Registration Act 2000)
- Meet the requirements of the Credential Policy under the 2025 Standards for RTOs by holding one of the following




- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor,
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment,
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment,
- A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education or vocational education and training.

- A secondary teaching qualification and one of the following credentials:

- TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set, or
- TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor, or
- TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor.

Desirable Requirements

- Experience in a Vocational Education and Training environment.
