You'll be the go-to coordinator who gets imported cargo through ABF and DAFF holds and out to our depots. You'll work closely with our internal Customs Brokers, government departments, shippers and receivers, so no two days look the same. Reporting to the National Imports Manager, you'll also support the Team Lead and National Operations Manager on special projects.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate customs clearance on ABF and DAFF holds, including additional information requests and examinations
- Work with our internal Customs Brokers on Formal Import Declarations
- Coordinate the release of cargo nationally to all depots
- Manage DAFF exams and inspections via portal and email, with records kept to an audit-ready standard
- Handle ABF Time Up Cargo and end-of-month tasks
- Prepare internal weekly billing
- Provide excellent customer service to internal teams, shippers and receivers by phone, email and department forms
About you
- Knowledge of section 77G depot licence requirements
- Working knowledge of the Interactive Customs System (ICS) and the DAFF Portal
- Strong Outlook and Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and the confidence to chase things down and see them through
- Clear, professional communication with people at every level
- Previous experience in importing eCommerce is preferred
- Knowledge of SAC air cargo reporting is desirable
- Right to work in Australia
