Disability Support Worker (ABN Contractor) - Female

Acube Group is seeking a Female Disability Support Worker (ABN Contractor) to join our dedicated team in Schofields, NSW. This is a contract position offering flexibility and independence as an ABN holder. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence and participate meaningfully in their communities. This position is specifically seeking applications from female candidates and offers the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives while maintaining professional boundaries and upholding the highest standards of care.

Key responsibilities

- Provide direct personal care and support to clients with disabilities, assisting with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility
- Support clients in accessing community activities, appointments, and social engagement opportunities
- Assist clients with medication reminders and health-related tasks as appropriate and within your scope of practice
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of support provided, including client progress notes and incident reports
- Develop and maintain positive, respectful relationships with clients, families, and other support network members
- Work collaboratively with Acube Group staff and other service providers to ensure coordinated, quality support
- Promote client independence and autonomy by encouraging participation in decision-making about their support




- Maintain confidentiality and uphold privacy standards in accordance with relevant legislation and organisational policies
- Report concerns or changes in client wellbeing to management promptly
- Comply with health, safety, and quality standards, including infection control and workplace safety procedures

What we're looking for

- Genuine compassion and empathy for people with disabilities, with a commitment to person-centred support
- Proven experience working in disability support, aged care, or a related community services setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with clients and families
- Ability to work independently as an ABN contractor whilst maintaining qualified standards and accountability
- Sound understanding of disability support principles, including dignity, rights, and independence
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance or ability to obtain
- Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transport (Mandatory)
- ABN
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong organisational skills
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
- Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and upholding duty of care




- Experience with NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) is highly advantageous
