We are seeking a dedicated, vigilant and highly motivated Lifeguard to join our team in Port Douglas. Working aboard our vessels on the Great Barrier Reef, you will play an important role in maintaining a safe environment for guests participating in snorkelling and diving activities. You will be a key part of our safety-focused team, monitoring water activities and responding to emergencies. This position is primarily based on our vessels, with opportunities to assist in shore-based operations.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

Monitoring guests participating in in-water activities, including snorkelling and diving

Maintaining effective water surveillance and responding to incidents or emergencies

Providing first aid, CPR and emergency response when required

Assisting with guest safety briefings and instructions

Completing relevant safety and equipment checks

Supporting the vessel crew with general operational duties as required

About you

To be considered, you will need:

Bronze Medallion or Divemaster qualification (or higher)

Current First Aid and CPR

Current Advanced Resuscitation (O2 Provider)

Strong swimming ability and a high level of physical fitness

Confidence managing water safety in varying ocean and weather conditions

Strong communication skills and a professional approach to guest safety





Previous experience working on vessels or in marine operations is desirable

Elements of Shipboard Safety is desirable.
