Join an established referral hospital, managing adult and paediatric emergency presentations alongside experienced senior clinicians.
The service is undergoing a major transformation through a billion-dollar new hospital project, set to expand emergency care and clinical facilities.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and manage acute adult and paediatric presentations
- Participate in resuscitation, stabilisation and emergency procedures
- Coordinate admissions, referrals and discharge planning
- Collaborate with ED consultants, nursing and multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to teaching and quality improvement
About you
To apply, you must meet at least one of the following:
- Registered with AHPRA, with at least 12 months’ recent clinical experience
- Enrolled in the ACEM training program
- An IMG eligible for the Competent Authority or Standard Pathway
- An IMG with a confirmed ACEM interview date
- An IMG assessed by ACEM as partially or substantially comparable
- Robust communication, teamwork and clinical assessment skills are essential.
- Up to $5,000 relocation assistance, with airfare and accommodation support for eligible candidates
- ACEM-accredited Emergency Department
- AMC-accredited WBA site, with potential access for eligible IMGs, subject to selection and availability
- Broad exposure to acute medicine, trauma and paediatric emergencies
- Hands‑on procedural and resuscitation experience
- Competitive Queensland Health remuneration, superannuation and applicable allowances
- Visa sponsorship may be available for eligible IMGs
