An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced and patient-focused General Practitioner to join a well-established and growing medical practice in Gympie, Queensland.
The practice is seeking full-time and part-time GPs to support its growing patient base and continue delivering accessible, high-quality primary healthcare to the local community.
About the Practice
Located in the heart of Gympie, this established medical practice offers modern facilities, fully equipped consultation rooms and a supportive clinical environment.
GPs are supported by an experienced nursing team and work collaboratively with specialists and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. The practice offers a structured five-day working week, convenient off-street parking and an environment focused on delivering quality healthcare while supporting a sustainable work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary healthcare to patients across all age groups.
- Conduct patient consultations, clinical assessments, diagnosis and treatment.
- Manage acute and chronic health conditions in accordance with current clinical guidelines.
- Develop appropriate treatment plans and coordinate referrals to specialists and allied health providers.
- Provide preventative healthcare, vaccinations and immunisations.
- Order and review pathology, imaging and other diagnostic investigations as required.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using practice medical software.
- Collaborate with GPs, nursing staff, specialists and allied health professionals.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety,
infection control and clinical quality.
- Participate in rotating after-hours/on-call arrangements where applicable.
About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner or appropriate eligibility.
- Vocational Recognition – FRACGP or FACRRM preferred , or eligibility toward an appropriate pathway.
- Strong general practice and primary healthcare experience.
- Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- A patient-centred approach to healthcare.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement.
