(Independant Contractor)
Location: Caringbah, Sydney South
Contract Type: Independant Contractor
Compensation: $155- up to $170 / hour.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Psychologist to join our practice as an independent contractor. The successful candidate will work exclusively with children, adolescents and their caregivers, offering a range of assessments, therapy/intervention, and support to help them overcome emotional, developmental, behavioural, and psychological challenges. As a contractor, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule while benefiting from the reputation and steady referral flow of an established practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for children and adolescents.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Provide individual, group, and or family therapy sessions.
- Address a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, behavioural concerns, trauma, social skill difficulties and low self-esteem.
- Experience in supporting children and adolescents with Autism, including PDA profiles, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, Anxiety and/or Depression, ODD, Specific Learning Disorders,
Developmental Delays and or Intellectual Developmental Disorder.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain detailed and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Participate in team meetings or case consultations as needed.
Requirements:
- AHPRA Registration as a Registered Psychologist.
- 3+ years clinical experience working with children and adolescents post registration.
- Proven experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting.
- Medicare provider number, or ability to obtain one.
- Solid knowledge of child development and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Values evidence-based, neuroaffirming and developmentally appropriate practice
- Enjoys collaborating with families, schools and other health professionals
- Is warm, approachable and able to build strong relationships with children and adolescents
- Public liability and Professional indemnity insurance (required for all contractors).
