Our client, the Legal Practitioners’ Liability Committee is an independent statutory entity providing professional indemnity insurance to Victorian barristers and solicitors and many of Australia's national law firms.

Our client is seeking an adept and experienced professional indemnity lawyer tolead its claims team and assist in the management of claims.

The successful candidate will offer a depth of quality professional indemnity experience gained preferably from a leading law firm or alternatively from within the insurance industry. You will report to the Executive General Manager Claims & Prevention and Risk Services.

Aside from professional indemnity experience, the ability to decisively supervise a team of experienced, self-sufficient practitioners,



whilst fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement both within and across teams is highly valued as the successful candidate will contribute to policy development, underwriting decisions, and prevention and risk management initiatives.

Essential personal attributes are an ability to maintain confidentiality, an ability to develop and drive a strategy forward, a high level of maturity and competence, the wherewithalto make appropriate judgments, an ability to engage with and engender the respect of insured practitioners, team members and key stakeholders, and exceptional interpersonal and written skills.
