Odyssey Recruitment invites applications from Consultant Obstetricians and Gynaecologists for a fixed-term opportunity with a regional health service in Bendigo, Victoria. This position combines specialist clinical practice with junior doctor supervision and medical education in a supportive environment committed to teaching and learning.

- Contract dates: 28 December 2026 to 4 April 2027. Shorter appointments will also be considered.
- Working hours: Up to 76 hours per fortnight.
- Employment arrangements: Full time staff specialist appointment, with part-time and fractional arrangements considered.
- Classification: Specialist Year 1–9, depending on experience.
- Full-time hourly salary: AUD $132.64–$182.38, excluding superannuation.
- Part-time hourly salary: AUD $160.20–$221.19, excluding superannuation.

The Opportunity

You will provide high-quality obstetric and gynaecological care, contribute to medical education and support the development of junior medical staff. The appointment offers an opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team serving a regional community.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering specialist obstetric and gynaecological assessment, treatment and ongoing care.
- Supporting safe,



effective and patient-centred clinical practice.
- Supervising and training junior medical staff.
- Contributing to teaching within obstetrics, gynaecology and relevant clinical services.
- Collaborating with medical, midwifery, nursing and allied health colleagues.

Candidate Profile

Applications are invited from appropriately qualified specialists with experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, a commitment to high standards of patient care and an interest in teaching and supervision.
