Hospital Medical Officer (RMO/Registrar) - Casual or Part-Time

Victorian Medical Officers Group – Moorabbin VIC

We are seeking RMO's & Registrars with General AHPRA registration who have a solid foundation in the care of general medical and surgical patients, and are looking to enhance their skills in a dynamic 147-bed hospital environment.

The Role:

Casual or part time work available from December 1st through to July 2027.

Remuneration from $137.50/hr inclusive of Super, exclusive of GST, for night shift, 7 nights per week.

You will undertake standard ward medical and surgical HMO tasks and collaborate with VMO's and nursing staff to ensure efficient delivery of high quality patient centred care.

As a MET responder, you will assess and commence treatment on unstable ward patients, in collaboration with the on-site ICU Senior Registrar.

Dedicated HMO office with overnight facilities.

About You:

PGY3+ (we will consider applications from RMO's who will commence their PGY3 year in February 2027)

General AHPRA registration (Mandatory Requirement)*

Demonstrated excellent clinical acumen

High standard of verbal & written communication skills

ALS certification, or willingness to obtain





Have medical indemnity insurance with appropriate private cover

Up to date vaccinations including COVID-19

Able to provide 2 referees and be willing to undertake hospital accreditation

All valid Australian work rights accepted

* In specific circumstances we are able to support return to work for HMO's or Registrars who have conditional general registration & require supervised practice as determined by AHPRA.
