The Opportunity

This is a seriously exciting prospect for a senior BDM who loves the hunt.

Our client is an established yet growing commercial construction and fit-out business working with large blue-chip organisations and major commercial property portfolios.

They already have a small number of major corporate clients generating significant repeat revenue. Now they want to accelerate their growth nationally and find the person who can open the next wave of major accounts.

You’ll be the person opening doors that weren’t open before. Finding the opportunity, building the relationship and getting the business into the room.

From there, you’ve got an experienced Pre-Construction and technical team behind you to help bring the project home.

About the Role

You’ll own the sales function across a national market. You’ll target large organisations with significant commercial property portfolios across sectors including transport, logistics, industrial, resources, hospitality and corporate property.

Projects range from approximately $250K fit-outs through to 4M–5M commercial construction projects.

This is a long-game, relationship-led B2B sales role where one great relationship can become a client for years.

Your Responsibilities

- Identify and target large corporate organisations
- Find the key property, facilities and commercial decision-makers
- Prospect, cold call,



network and open new doors
- Build relationships from scratch
- Identify upcoming construction, fit-out and refurbishment opportunities
- Generate and qualify genuine new business opportunities
- Work alongside the Pre-Construction Manager to progress opportunities
- Use project intelligence and your own research to uncover new opportunities
- Travel interstate when there is business to be won
- Build a strong national pipeline of major corporate clients

About You

First and foremost, you're a hunter.

You’ll ideally bring:

- A strong track record in B2B business development and new client acquisition
- Experience selling high-value solutions into large organisations
- Confidence cold calling and prospecting from scratch
- Experience navigating complex organisations and finding decision-makers
- Resilience. Hearing “no” doesn't bother you
- A mature, polished and credible communication style
- Strong listening and relationship-building skills
- The ability to work autonomously without needing leads handed to you
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel interstate

Commercial construction or fit-out experience would be highly regarded, but it's not the only background we'll consider.

We're also interested in exceptional hunters from commercial real estate, industrial property, property services or other high-value B2B environments.
