The EL1 Salesforce Development Lead (Labour Hire) will provide technical leadership and oversight of Salesforce development activities within a complex ICT program workplace.

Working within multidisciplinary ICT delivery teams, the role will lead the design, development and implementation of Salesforce solutions and provide technical direction to development teams. The role will ensure solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable and aligned with approved architecture, engineering standards and business requirements.

The successful candidate will combine strong Salesforce technical expertise with development leadership, providing hands‑on technical guidance, coordinating development activities and supporting the delivery of high‑quality enterprise Salesforce solutions.

Rate:

The proposed rate should reflect candidate's skills and experience against the Evaluation Criteria. Candidates that do not demonstrate these criteria will not be assessed. Candidates should be aware that rates may be negotiated further as part of the selection process.

As part of the eligibility and suitability requirement, NDIA seeks Labour Hire Workers who are Australian citizens only. Successful candidates will be required to furnish valid evidence of citizenship during the Pre‑engagement Check.

Applicable for ACT, VIC and QLD: Labour hire licences are required in the state that specified personnel are being contracted.

Key duties and responsibilities

- Ensuring solutions adhere to governance and coding standards via reviews.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements.
- Supporting design standards creation and design reviews, and developing Salesforce Vlocity solutions that ensure robustness, re-useability, performance, and quality of the solution.
- Delivering quality Salesforce Vlocity components and solutions in concert with other developers, UI/UX experts, solution architects, and accessibility experts.
- Bringing your expertise of Salesforce Vlocity to help guide best practice solution delivery.
- Supporting the code deployment process through all environments including Production.
- Adopting and supporting the rollout of CI/CD and DevOps and test automation practises.
- Helping to build the capability of the team through close collaboration and knowledge sharing with colleagues.
- Actively participating in daily scrum activities.

Criteria

Each candidate must provide a response to each criterion. Each response is limited to 3000 characters.

Essential criteria

1. Experience working with OOP, frameworks & design patterns, in building and working with integrations (example REST APIs, Platform Events) and working with Source Control tools (e.g. GitLab) & package-based development
2. Experience in Salesforce platform technologies such as Apex, Lightning Components, Salesforce APIs as well as Vlocity package/Omnistudio platform using Ominiscripts, Flexcards, Integration procedure and DataRaptors
3. Experience in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud, Health Cloud implementations
4. Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II, Omnistudio Developer/Consultant, Salesforce Architect Domain) are highly desirable
5. Experience in helping build team capability, establishing/refining and influencing processes/practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset

Desirable criteria

1. Experience working with Source Control tools (e.g. GitLab) & package-based development
2. Experience with Atlassian Jira, VSCode and DevOps practices
3. Demonstrable experience successfully implementing minimum 5+ Salesforce platform-based CRM projects using an agile methodology
4. Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development will be highly regarded
