The PSO for NBS will be responsible for the quality and performance of all aspects of the NBS laboratory and will be the scientific representative of the laboratory at state, national and international levels.
Key responsibilities
- Research and teaching is at a high standard.
- Plans are in line with SCHN, MOH and federal government strategic directions and congruent with financial resources.
What you need
- Fellowship of the relevant college, and/or a Principal Hospital Scientist qualification as described in the Hospital Scientists (State) Award, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in an appropriate scientific field.
- High level experience in Newborn Screening scientific techniques and practice.
- Demonstrated ability to develop laboratory and customer key performance indicators.
