Shepherd Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Sunshine Coast real estate agency to recruit an experienced Head of Department.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Property Management leader to take ownership of the people, performance and day-to-day operations of an established Property Management department.
The Role
You’ll lead the Property Management department, with responsibility for:
- Leading, coaching and holding the team accountable
- Managing workloads, KPIs and operational performance
- Handling escalated owner, tenant and staff matters
- Driving client retention, service standards and process improvements
- Overseeing compliance, maintenance, insurance and Tribunal matters
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and team development
- Reporting on department performance and providing solutions to senior leadership
About You
We’re looking for an experienced Property Management professional with proven leadership experience who can confidently take ownership of a busy department.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Solid experience within Queensland Property Management
- Previous leadership or management experience within Property Management
- Strong knowledge of QLD legislation, compliance and Tribunal processes
- Confidence managing staff performance and accountability
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing complex owner and tenant matters
- A genuine focus on client retention and service
- A proactive, solutions-focused leadership style
The Opportunity
This role offers genuine ownership of an established Property Management department, with the autonomy to lead people, improve processes, drive performance and influence the overall client experience .
You’ll work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in the continued success and development of the department.
