Lead, manage and grow our new and used vehicle departments

Mildura Motor Holdings is seeking an experienced Group Vehicle Sales Manager to take ownership of our current and used vehicle operations in Mildura.

This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to an experienced automotive professional who understands new and used vehicle sales, stock management, vehicle appraisals, trade‑ins, pricing, online presentation and team performance.

You will play a key role in driving profitability, achieving manufacturer targets, maintaining strong stock turn, supporting the sales team and ensuring every vehicle is priced, prepared and presented to a high standard.

About the role

Reporting to the Dealer Principal, you will be responsible for managing the day‑to‑day performance of the new and used vehicle departments, including sales performance, vehicle purchasing, valuations, trade appraisals, stock control and team development.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading and managing the new and used vehicle sales team

- Driving performance against manufacturer KPIs, targets and dealership objectives

- Managing used vehicle purchasing, appraisals, valuations and stock selection

- Managing new and used vehicle stock, pricing, preparation and reconditioning

- Monitoring market conditions, stock turn, gross profit and ageing stock

- Sourcing quality used vehicles through trade‑ins, wholesalers and other channels





- Supporting the sales team to maximise new and used vehicle sales opportunities

- Selling vehicles and leading by example

- Handling customer enquiries, test drives, negotiations and follow‑up

- Ensuring vehicles are advertised accurately and presented professionally online and in the yard

- Training, mentoring and developing the sales team with a hands‑on approach

- Working with finance, service and administration teams to deliver a smooth customer experience

- Maintaining strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, wholesalers and industry contacts

- Driving department profitability while maintaining excellent customer outcomes

About you

You will be a confident automotive operator with strong commercial judgement and a practical understanding of both the new and used vehicle markets.

To be successful, you will bring:

- Previous experience in new and/or used vehicle management, valuations, buying or senior automotive sales

- Strong knowledge of vehicle appraisals, market pricing and stock control

- A proven track record of meeting manufacturer KPIs and sales targets

- Excellent negotiation, communication and customer service skills

- The ability to lead, motivate and develop a sales team

- A strong focus on gross profit,



stock turn and customer satisfaction

- Good computer skills and confidence using automotive sales or inventory systems

- A current driver's licence

- A qualified, organised and results‑driven approach

Experience as a New Car Manager, Used Car Manager, Sales Manager, Assistant Sales Manager, Valuer, Buyer or high‑performing Senior Sales Consultant will be highly regarded.
