Stawell Gold Mines is seeking an experienced Senior Mine Surveyor to join our Technical Services team. This is a key role responsible for delivering accurate and timely survey support across both underground and surface operations, contributing directly to safe and efficient mining outcomes.
About the Role
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will lead and coordinate all survey activities, ensuring high-quality data and plans are available to support development, production, and strategic mine planning.
This is a residential role based in Stawell working a 5/2 roster (Monday to Friday) , offering an excellent work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise and conduct underground and surface survey activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date mine plans and spatial data
- Provide heading control and development survey support with no delays to advance
- Ensure drill and blast activities are accurately marked up ahead of schedule
- Conduct CMS and void surveys and process data in a timely manner
- Support production, development planning and remnant mining opportunities
- Maintain survey data integrity and manage archive requirements
- Promote and lead strong safety, environmental and compliance standards
About You
- Degree in Mine Surveying (or equivalent)
- Minimum 4–5 years’ experience, including at least 3 years underground
- Proficient in Deswick and Surpac (or similar)
- Strong planning, organisational and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to mentor junior surveyors
