We're looking for a hands-on, delivery-oriented Project Manager to actively support the day-to-day execution of a portfolio of Deal & Risk Management (DRM) Information Systems projects, within an energy trading environment.

The project portfolio spans regulatory and compliance programs, product and sales enablement initiatives, customer experience improvements, operational excellence programs, and strategic growth opportunities.

This is a contract role starting mid October through to the end of January 2027, with the possibility of extension depending on business requirements. The role will suit someone who wants to be in the detail of delivery, not managing at a strategic or programme level.

Software Delivery & Agile Facilitation

- Coordinating software delivery activities with strong, hands-on involvement.
- Organising development activities and supporting development teams.
- Preparing and coordinating system testing, integration testing and UAT activities with business stakeholders.
- Tracking and following up delivery actions through to completion.
- Facilitating agile team rituals as Scrum Master and helping remove delivery blockers.
- Facilitating collaboration between developers, business analysts and business stakeholders.

PMO / Governance Activities

- Working directly with the local Team Manager to coordinate delivery activities.




- Managing project plans and milestones.
- Maintaining the team backlog, sprint planning and releases in Jira.
- Managing risks, issues and action logs.
- Preparing Steering Committee packs, prioritisation meetings and governance reporting.
- Tracking decisions and follow-up actions.
- Supporting stakeholder communications and project reporting.

What you'll bring to the team:

- Proven hands-on experience in software delivery environments, this is more key than large-scale programme management experience.
- Strong proficiency in Jira backlog management, sprint planning and reporting.
- Experience preparing and coordinating testing activities (system, integration, UAT) with business stakeholders.
- Scrum Master experience facilitating agile ceremonies and removing delivery blockers.
- Strong ownership and accountability, with the ability to track actions through to completion.
- Strong communication skills, able to work closely with developers, business analysts and business stakeholders day to day.

Experience in energy trading, utilities, banking or risk management environments (desirable, not mandatory).

The finer details:

Location: Melbourne (minimum 3 days per week in the office, CBD based)

Contract: Mid-October 2026 to end of January 2027, with possible extension depending on business requirements
