Registrar - Service - EmergencyMedicine and Senior Registrar - EmergencyMedicine

There are 7 positions available, which may befilled at either Registrar or Senior Registrar level, depending onapplicant experience, qualifications, and servicerequirements.

PositionProfile:We are currently seeking appropriatelyqualified Registrars and Senior Registrars to provide high qualitypatient centred care to our patients whilst under the supervisionof the Head of Department or duty consultant within the EmergencyMedicine Department.

Registrar:Thesuccessful applicants willprovide a high quality, patientcentred care to patients under the supervision of the Head ofDepartment and duty Consultant in the Emergency Medicinedepartment.Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to reviewthe medical needs of patients within the hospital and providesteaching and support, as appropriate to Doctors in Training(DiT’s), Nursing, Allied Health and other multidisciplinary teammembers across the service. Work with the hospital and healthservice to achieve National, State, and South Metropolitan HealthService (SMHS) performance standards and targets and NationalSafety and Quality Healthcare Standards.

Senior Registrar:Thesuccessful applicants will provide senior leadership within theemergency department, excellent clinical care andmaximizespatient flow within the department. Meet all training requirementsoutlined withintheir special skill post description.



Work inaccordance with the Hospital’s core values.Provide training,supervision and education for Registrars, Resident MedicalOfficers(RMOs) and Interns. In collaboration with theinterdisciplinary team, work to achieveNational, State andSouth Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) performance standards andthe National Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards.
