UniSQ is seeking a skilled and committed Senior Lecturer in Animal Science to join our School of Science, Engineering and Digital Technologies. This is your opportunity to play a key role in supporting the continued growth and sustainability of the Animal Science and Wildlife Science majors within the Bachelor of Science (BSCI) and Bachelor of Environmental Science (BENV) programs. These disciplines are among the most sought-after and high-performing within the School, with growing student demand and strategic importance to UniSQ’s future offerings.

What you'll do

As a Senior Lecturer (Animal Science), you will:

Deliver high-quality, evidence-informed teaching in Animal Science and Wildlife Science majors that engages students and delivers positive learning outcomes.

- Supervise honours and postgraduate research projects, fostering academic excellence and innovation;
- Conduct impactful research aligned with UniSQ’s strategic priorities, contributing to knowledge advancement and industry collaboration;
- Secure external research funding and participate in interdisciplinary research teams;




- Engage in service activities that enhance the School’s culture and contribute to the profession and community; and
- Actively participate in professional development and leadership initiatives within the School.

What will help you succeed

Together with your relevant Doctoral qualification, you will have:

- Demonstrated expertise in teaching and research within the field of Animal Science;
- A track record of reflective and engaged teaching practices that support student success;
- Experience in collaborative research, including securing funding and publishing high-quality outputs;
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues and industry partners;
- A commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional growth; and
- Extensive experience in Veterinary Science would be highly regarded.

Term : Full-time continuing appointment (37.5 hours/week)

Salary : Total remuneration range $168,032 to $193,129 pa (includes salary range of $141,710 to $162,875 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
