Exciting State Government Finance Officer Opportunity

Your recent company An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Officer to join a State Government organisation based in Perth. Working within a collaborative finance team, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations and delivering high-quality services to internal and external stakeholders.
Your new role

- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Managing debt recovery activities and monitoring outstanding debts
- Processing and reconciling corporate credit card transactions
- Providing support to cardholders, including new applications, limit changes and enquiries
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and maintaining financial controls
- Preparing and analysing aged debtor and creditor reports
- Supporting the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports
- Maintaining accurate supplier and financial records
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve finance-related queries
- Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes
- Delivering a high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

- Previous experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts Officer or similar position




- Experience working with Financial Management Information Systems within a large organisation
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and debt recovery processes
- Sound understanding of financial policies, procedures and controls
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment
- A proactive approach and commitment to continuous improvement
