Based in Arndell Park, our licensed Major Hazard Facility provides a comprehensive solution for hazardous and non-hazardous warehousing, inventory management and inbound/ outbound transport.
We are currently seeking an experienced Transport Allocator to join the team Monday to Friday, 12pm to 8pm.
This is a casual position with temp-to-perm opportunities available for proven performers who display outstanding work ethics. Casual pay rates apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and confirm orders
- Create load plans and scheduling for all runs including multi drop loads
- Book 3rd party carriers on independent portals including interstate deliveries
- Calculate sub contractor requirements and book accordingly
- Manage pick-up requests
- Manage chemical filling operations and chemical pump out allocations
- Monitor driver's progress against schedules
- Maintain induction registers
- Customer service and enquiries
- DIFOT investigations
- Traceability & Accountability Investigations
- Monitor daily fleet operations
- Ensure COR and WHS is adhered to, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations - report on load weights and driver fatigue
- Assist with fleet maintenance coordination, fleet inspections and compliance related tasks
- Manage and maintain daily allocation spreadsheets to ensure accurate traceability of freight movements and operational activities
- Mass management knowledge and maintenance
- Identify and document fleet defects
Skills and Experience
- Robust attention to detail, particularly with numbers
- Ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced transport office
- Ability to adapt to rapid changes as presented
- High level of organizational skills and proven problem-solving
- Awareness of government regulatory requirements, understanding of load compliance and driver fatigue requirements
- Geographical knowledge of Sydney CBD and Regional NSW locations (preferred)
- An understanding of transporting Dangerous Goods
- PM shift
