An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and digitally focused People & Capability Business Advisor to join the People & Capability Department within the CEO Office.

William Angliss Institute is the Victorian Government-endorsed specialist training provider for the foods, tourism, hospitality and events industries. The Institute delivers vocational and higher education programs in Victoria, across Australia and internationally, maintaining close connections with industry to ensure its education and training remain relevant to today’s workplace.

About the role:
Located at 555 La Trobe Street, Melbourne, this full-time PACCT Level 7 position will provide specialist leadership and advice across the Institute’s people systems, workforce data, reporting, automation and digital People & Capability processes.

The role acts as a subject-matter expert for the Institute’s HR information systems, employee and manager self-service platforms, recruitment systems, workforce reporting solutions and related Microsoft 365 applications. It is responsible for supporting the integrity, accuracy, security and appropriate use of workforce information through effective system controls, data governance and quality assurance.

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, People and Capability, the position works closely with People & Capability, Payroll, Finance, ICT, governance functions, managers and system providers. The position does not have direct reports.

The starting salary is PACCT Level 7.1 - $100,375 plus 12% superannuation.

Key responsibilities
In this role, you will:

- administer, maintain and continuously improve the Institute’s HRIS, employee and manager self-service, recruitment, onboarding and workforce applications
- lead workforce-data governance, including standards, definitions, validation rules, security controls and data-quality monitoring
- develop workforce dashboards, management reports and analytical insights for operational, Executive, Board and governance audiences
- identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate People & Capability processes
- coordinate people-system upgrades, testing, implementation, documentation and change-management activities
- develop clear process documentation, user guides, data definitions and control frameworks
- provide authoritative advice, training and support to employees, managers and People & Capability colleagues
- contribute systems, data and analytical expertise to workforce planning and broader organisational initiatives.

Key Selection Criteria:
You will bring:





- relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources, workforce analytics, information systems, business or a related discipline, combined with substantial relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
- demonstrated capability in workforce analytics, including reports, dashboards, visualisations and evidence-based insights
- experience administering and improving HRIS, employee self-service platforms and other workforce technology
- strong knowledge of workforce-data governance, privacy, security, access management, validation and audit requirements
- demonstrated project and change-management capability, including requirements gathering, process mapping, testing, implementation and stakeholder engagement
- highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly
- sound knowledge of relevant employment legislation, industrial instruments, public-sector obligations and organisational policy requirements
- the ability to establish effective working relationships across People & Capability, Payroll, Finance, ICT, governance functions and external providers
