Adecco is partnering with a leading international manufacturer of power transformers and grid infrastructure solutions to recruit an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be responsible for driving new business development across the utilities, data centre, mining, and industrial sectors.

This position is focused on identifying and securing major transformer projects, developing long-term customer relationships, and establishing the company's presence with key asset owners, EPC contractors, consultants, and infrastructure providers.

You will manage the sales process from prospecting and opportunity generation through to tender submissions, commercial negotiations, and project award.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, develop, and secure recent business opportunities across utilities, power generation, data centres, mining, and major infrastructure projects
- Build and maintain relationships with asset owners, utilities, EPC contractors, engineering consultancies, and end users
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth
- Conduct client meetings, site visits, presentations, and technical solution discussions
- Manage tender submissions, commercial proposals, contract negotiations, and project handovers
- Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and deliver annual sales targets
- Represent the business at industry events and strengthen market presence across Australia

About You

To be successful in this role,



you will have a proven track record of winning new business and developing strategic customer relationships within the power transmission, transformer, electrical infrastructure, utilities, or energy sectors.

You will be a motivated sales professional who enjoys building markets, creating opportunities, and managing long sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers.

Preferred Experience

- Business development or sales experience within the power transformer industry
- Strong understanding of utility, transmission, distribution, or electrical infrastructure markets
- Proven experience securing large-scale project opportunities and managing complex sales cycles
- Experience working with utilities, mining companies, data centres, EPC contractors, or industrial customers
- Demonstrated success managing high-value tenders and commercial negotiations
- Ability to travel extensively throughout Australia as required

Highly Regarded

- Existing relationships with utilities, transmission providers, data centre operators, EPC contractors, and major industrial customers
- Experience selling power transformers, substations, switchgear, grid infrastructure, or related electrical solutions
- Understanding of utility procurement processes and major infrastructure project environments
- Experience developing new geographic markets and building business operations from the ground up
