Engage Security Professionals – Geelong VIC

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join the team at Engage Security Professionals. This is a part-time position based in Geelong, VIC 3220 . As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in protecting our clients' assets, people, and premises. Your presence and professionalism will be essential in maintaining a safe and secure environment, deterring potential threats, and responding promptly to any security incidents that may arise.

Key responsibilities

- Patrol designated areas on foot or by vehicle to monitor for suspicious activity and ensure the security of premises
- Monitor and control access to buildings and facilities, checking identification and maintaining visitor logs
- Conduct regular inspections of security systems, alarms, cameras, and lighting to ensure all equipment is functioning correctly
- Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
- Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities in writing with accuracy and detail
- Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and provide reassurance to staff and visitors
- Communicate effectively with law enforcement and emergency services when required
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security protocols, procedures, and legislative requirements
- Assist clients with enquiries and provide excellent customer service whilst maintaining qualified standards

What we're looking for

- Current or eligible for a Security Licence issued by Victoria Police
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work professionally with clients, colleagues, and emergency services
- Excellent observational skills and the ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods




- Physical fitness and the ability to perform patrols on foot or by vehicle in varying weather conditions
- Reliability and punctuality, with the capacity to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays if required
- Problem-solving abilities and sound judgment to respond appropriately to security threats and incidents
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness with a strong commitment to confidentiality
- Proficiency in completing written reports and maintaining accurate documentation
- First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it (desirable)
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field (desirable)
