The Opportunity:

We're looking for a Senior Engineer Asset Integrity and Risk to join our Refinery Management Team and play a key role in shaping the reliability, safety, and long term performance of our operations.

Reporting directly to the General Manager Refinery,

this is a senior technical leadership role with significant influence across operational performance, asset strategy, risk management, and long term reliability outcomes. As the subject matter expert for asset integrity and engineering risk, your expertise will help guide critical decision making and influence how the Refinery manages, maintains, and invests in its assets for the future.

This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, investigating failures, and identifying opportunities before they become risks. Working across critical plant and equipment, you'll provide expert advice and recommendations that influence maintenance strategies, capital investment decisions, asset lifecycle planning and operational risk management.

While this is a highly visible role within the Refinery leadership structure, it is suited to an engineer who enjoys being the technical expert rather than the people manager. You'll be hands on, leading investigations, assessing risk and working closely with operational teams to improve reliability, safety, and performance.

About You:

You're an experienced engineer, ideally with a Mechanical Engineering background, with experience in refining, manufacturing, mineral processing, pyrometallurgical or other heavy industrial environments.

You bring robust knowledge of asset integrity, reliability engineering, failure modes, root cause analysis,

and risk assessment methodologies such as FMEA. You're comfortable working with large volumes of technical and operational data, identifying trends, developing structured plans, and communicating your findings through clear reports, recommendations, and presentations.

You enjoy getting into the detail, solving technical challenges, and working across different parts of the business to achieve the best outcome. You bring demonstrated experience leading investigations, identifying root causes, and delivering improvements in reliability, safety, and operational performance.

To be successful, you'll be highly organised, able to influence stakeholders through technical expertise and credibility, and comfortable engaging with operators, tradespeople, engineers, and leaders alike. You'll be capable of balancing competing priorities, planning work across multiple areas and providing clear, evidence based recommendations that support sound business and engineering decisions.

Our Benefits:

- Flexible work including purchased leave and leave at half pay
- Training and development opportunities
- Competitive salaries and employee discounts
- Charity and volunteer initiatives
- Health and wellness programs, including an Employee Assistance Program
- Salary sacrifice – superannuation contributions.

So go on, make your mark. If you are excited by this role and want to join the team at the iconic Perth Mint, apply today. Flexible arrangements will be considered on an individual basis.

Applications close on 25 October 2026. The Perth Mint reserves the right to close applications prior to this date.

Candidates must have the right to work in Australia and pass our national security check.
