POSITION: IT Officer – Full-time

Salamah College, an Islamic, independent, and comprehensive coeducational K-12 college, is dedicated to providing a caring and personalized education for young Australian Muslims. Established in 2012, Salamah College has grown significantly, now welcoming over 1,400 students.

Position Overview:

Salamah College is seeking a proactive and skilled IT Officer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a supportive educational setting while managing and enhancing our technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

- Use FreshService to handle incoming tickets and requests
- Troubleshoot Windows devices, iPads, and network/software issues
- Escalate complex problems as needed

Systems Administration:

- Maintain and update Moodle and Sentral
- Manage Microsoft Azure and Office 365 accounts and settings
- Perform routine system checks and updates

Communication & Training:

- Clearly explain technical processes to non-technical staff and students
- Develop user guides and provide basic training sessions

Time Management:

- Efficiently prioritize multiple open tickets in a fast-paced environment
- Track and follow up on issues to ensure timely resolution





Community Engagement:

- Support school programs and events
- Foster a positive, tech-friendly culture

Key Selection Criteria:

1. Qualifications & Experience

- TAFE/university IT qualification (completed or near completion)
- Relevant IT support experience, preferably with FreshService

2. Technical Proficiency

- Proficient with Windows, iPads, LMS (Moodle, Sentral), and cloud platforms (Azure, Office 365)
- Basic networking and IT security knowledge

3. Communication & Time Management

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple support tasks

4. Community Engagement

- Willingness to participate in co-curricular activities and programs

Additional Requirements:

- Valid Working with Children Check (or equivalent)

- Flexibility for occasional after-hours work
