We're building a casual pool of sports trainers to provide on-field/on-court coverage for fixtures and events across multiple sports in Canberra and the ACT. Shifts are offered on a game-by-game or roster basis, so this is ideal for trainers wanting versatile, varied casual work.
Key responsibilities
- Provide pitch-side / court-side sports trainer coverage across a variety of codes (e.g., AFL, rugby league/union, netball, basketball, soccer)
- Deliver first-response injury assessment and on-field/court treatment
- Manage strapping, taping, and basic injury management
- Liaise with coaches, officials, and medical staff on athlete welfare
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate treatment records
- Travel to different venues across Canberra and the ACT as rostered
About you
- Sports Trainer accreditation (e.g., Sports Medicine Australia Level 1 or 2, or equivalent)
- Qualified Physiotherapists also welcome to apply
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate
- National Police Certificate
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration for the ACT
- Have reliable transport methods to travel between venues across the ACT
- Comfortable working across multiple, varied sports and skill levels
- Available for evening, weekend, and occasional interstate game-day shifts
