Female Disability Support Worker – North Brisbane

Connecting Families is seeking a compassionate and experienced Female Disability Support Worker OR Assistant in Nursing (preferably) to support a 38-year-old female client in North Brisbane.

This is a casual position supporting a client with a C4 AIS B Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and complex physical, medical, and emotional needs.

The role involves providing in-home support, including personal care, manual handling, and assistance with daily living activities, while ensuring the client’s safety, dignity, and emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Personal care, manual handling, and daily living support
- Supporting complex physical and mental health needs
- Providing emotional support and meaningful engagement
- Assisting with community access and promoting independence




- Participating in effective shift handovers when required

Essential Requirements:

- Certificate III in Disability (or equivalent)
- Current Yellow Card and Blue Card
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Australian Driver’s License and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in disability support or similar roles
