About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will:
- Assist with the delivery of audit engagements, including managing smaller audit jobs independently
- Prepare audit files, including planning, scoping, and workpapers
- Apply audit methodologies to plan, execute, and complete engagements
- Prepare clear and concise documentation as evidence of work performed
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in line with regulatory and reporting standards
- Preparation of special purpose financial reports and management letters
- Work across a diverse client base (NFPs, real estate, legal firms, public and private companies)
- Liaise with clients and travel to client sites where required
- Assist with administrative tasks and general duties to support timely completion of engagements & audit projects.
- Participate in training and ongoing professional development
About you
You’ll be a valuable fit for the Senior Accountant role if you have:
- A relevant degree with an accounting major
- Commenced or planning to commence CA/CPA studies
- Experience in audit or accounting (public practice preferred)
- Understanding of accounting and auditing standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit software (e.g. CaseWare or similar)
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
