JSR Electrical & Air-Conditioning is a family-owned and operated business servicing Mackay and the surrounding region. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated Apprentice Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic to join our team.

Whether you're looking to start your apprenticeship or you've already completed part of your apprenticeship elsewhere, we encourage you to apply.

No previous refrigeration or air-conditioning experience is required for new starters - we are looking for someone with the right attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

About the Role

As an apprentice, you will work alongside our experienced tradespeople while completing your trade qualification. You will gain hands-on experience across a variety of residential and commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning work.

Your training and day-to-day work may include:

- Installation of split-system, cassette and ducted air-conditioning systems
- Servicing and preventative maintenance
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Air-conditioning repairs and component replacement
- Refrigeration and electrical-related work within the scope of your apprenticeship
- Residential and commercial projects
- Learning how to correctly use tools, equipment and testing instruments
- Completing job documentation and maintaining professional communication with clients
- Working safely and following workplace procedures

A current driver's licence is highly regarded.
